Another close game between the Central Cobblers and the Stevens Raiders, but with a different outcome.  Stevens managed to pull away with the win, beating the Cobblers 55-53.   It looked as though Central was again going to walk away with another win against the Raiders, but Stevens fought hard and came back to seal the win in the fourth quarter.   Stevens had a couple of players step up in this game to help in the Raiders win.  Kylie Knight and Shelby Shorb scored 9 and 10 points respectively.  It will be necessary for all five players on the court to contribute both offensively and defensively for the Raiders to move ahead in districts.  The Raiders looked stronger in this game defensively, causing the Cobblers to turn the ball over more than usual.

Central looked strong and held a good lead, but they always let the Raiders back into the game.  That was the same in their first matchup, but the Cobblers were able to hang on and finish with a win.  Markie Kruse was unstoppable in the first game back in early February, but the Raiders were able to stop her surge and held her to only  4 points last night.  Defense seemed to be key for the Raiders in their win.  Both teams are competitive and can get the job done.  Good luck to both teams in districts and hopefully on to Regionals.
