Coach Reiman gave SDSB the following season preview information:
What is your team outlook for 2011-2012?
We have a group that is very competitive in practice. They are working hard and have been great leaders early on in the season. This is one of the most vocal groups that I have coached. I look for us to improve greatly throughout the year and I expect us to be a hard team to beat.
Which of your players do you expect to have the most "impact" this year?
We have a very balanced group of players, which are very fun to coach. It is hard to narrow down one or two because we could have many players come into their own and be very productive for us. Our seniors that will have an impact are Brady Sudbeck, Sean Ireland, and Bryan Schofield. The Juniors are Kenar VanderMay and Shane Ring and Sophomores that I expect to give us good minutes are True Buchholz and Logan Christensen.
Which teams will be your toughest competition?
There will be many strong teams that we will be competing against us this year. But the team to beat isWhite River.
Which new players do you anticipate on your 2011-2012 roster?
We only have one returning starter from last year’s team so there will be many new faces on the varsity team.
The Kadoka Kougars finished the 2010-2011 regular season with a record of 13-4.
The Kougars have never won a state basketball championship.
