    Season Preview

COACH BRENT MARESKA GAVE SDSB THE FOLLOWING SEASON PREVIEW INFORMATION FOR THE PANTHERS:

Out season outlook will be very optimistic if we can keep everyone healthy and off the academic ineligiblity list.  We have a great bunch of seniors who will be great leaders on and off the field.  The team in our class that we must give the most respect to is Canistota obviously-  They are the elite team in 9man football and we are fortunate enough to have them in our class.  As far as the Little Moreau Conferenc-  Harding County I feel will be as good or better than they were last year.  The kids they have returning will bring a different look but they will be more solid at all there positions with some stud athletes to throw into the mix.  They won't just replace a Brown or a Jenson or an Olson but they will be stronger in different areas with alot of talent.  Also, the Faith Longhors will be very athletic if they can commit their kids into playing football knowing basketball is just around the corner.

Our impact players on Offense will be our TE Cody Kraft, QB Brady Bickel, and RB's Jim Oleary, Garrett Nash, and Clay Lindskov.  Cody will be a get lots of looks with his big frame and soft hands he is also very fast for his size.  Brady is a very hard nosed QB that is learning the system after transferring back from Sun. Bible his Jr. year.  He is a very athletic kid.  Our young backs are also very capable but time will tell who wants to take the go to roll.  We also have a very talented O Line with Luke Crance being the leader at RG.

Defense:  Luke Crance will be used all over the field and will bring preassure from all angles.  He has been in the top two for the panthers in tackles the past two years.  He will play DE, MLB, as well as some Nose.  Cody Kraft will be a very good DE for the panthers this season as well as Brady Bickel at the LB position.
