BHSU MBB: Hanusa inks name to Yellow Jackets

SPEARFISH, S.D. - The Black Hills State men's basketball team has announced the signing of Edin Hanusa, head coach Jeff Trumbauer announced on Friday.

Hanusa, from Värnamo, Sweden, is a 6-7 forward. During his senior year, he averaged 6.0 points and 6.0 rebounds in 15.0 minutes per game. He is a member of the Swedish National Team, and currently in camp for the U20 National Team.

"We are very excited to add Edin Hanusa to our program. As we began the process of recruiting the 2018 class we identified some specific needs that I believe Edin will be able to fill nicely. He's a physical post player who can play either the 4 or 5 spot, and should provide immediate defensive help and on the boards," said coach Trumbauer. "Edin has been competing at a very high level of basketball, so I anticipate that he will make the jump to college ball quickly. He has a really good feel for team offense and defensive play, and possesses a very high motor. To be able to add a freshman with the combination of his size, strength, versatility, and basketball IQ is something to be excited about for the immediate and long term."

Hanusa is the son of Marica Mlinar and Suad Hanusa.
