    BHSU TF: Three Jackets named All-RMAC First Team, 12 others make Second Team

    COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference announced the Outdoor Track and Field All-RMAC teams on Wednesday morning. Lia GuiguiWhitney Scott, and Tristan Hepp all earned First Team honors, while 12 other Yellow Jackets were named to the Second Team.

    Guigui earned First Team honors in the high jump, after winning the event at the RMAC Championships. Scott was named to the First Team for pole vault, also winning the event at the RMAC Championship. The freshman was also recently named a participant at the National Championships for the pole vault. Hepp was a double First Team Honoree in both the 400 meter hurdles, as well as the high jump. He finished second in the high jump and third in the 400 meter hurdles at the RMAC Championships.

    For the Yellow Jacket women, four student-athletes were named to the Second Team. Cailey Roth earned the honor for the 800 meters after taking fifth at the conference meet, while Nicole Allerdings was named Second Team after placing sixth in the 5000 meter run.

    Jordyn Huneke garnered Second Team honors in the pole vault, taking fifth at the RMAC Championships. The freshman joins Scott in the event at the NCAA Championships. Alexandra Richardswas also named to the All-RMAC Second Team in javelin, taking fourth at the RMAC Championships. 

    On the men's side, Black Hills State made eight appearances on the Second Team. Taylor Hepp and Garrett Snook each garnered the honor for the 400 meter run after taking fourth and sixth, respectively, at the RMAC Championships. Justin Thorstad was named All-RMAC Second Team in the 800 meter run. After taking sixth in the conference meet, the senior was named a participant in the NCAA Championships. Tristan Hepp adds to his two First Team honors with a Second Team spot for the 110 meter hurdles, as well as as a member of the 4x400 meter relay team. Tristan Hepp, joined by Taylor Hepp, Snook, and Brian Kjerstad are members of the Second Team after taking second at the RMAC Championships.

    Jonah Theisen made the All-RMAC Second Team after taking fourth in the 3000 meter hurdles, while Allan McDonnell was named Second Team in the high jump after placing fifth in the conference meet. Ryan Olsen finished fourth in the decathlon, garnering a Second Team honor.

    The Yellow Jacket men finished the Outdoor Championships in seventh place, while the women finished eighth. Scott, Huneke, and Thorstad will participate in the NCAA Division II Championships on May 24-26, in Charlotte, N.C.
