    SDSU WBB: Two-Game Homestand Starts Wednesday

    After a five-game road swing that started in mid-December and had the South Dakota State women's basketball team playing in four states, the Jackrabbits return to the friendly confines of Frost Arena for a two-game homestand which starts Wednesday at 7 p.m. against Denver.

    SDSU enters Wednesday's game with a 10-6 overall record and 2-1 mark in The Summit League standings, while the Pioneers are 10-7 overall and sport a 3-1 league record.

    The Jacks had a two-game win streak snapped with a 105-98 double-overtime loss at South Dakota Sunday. Summit League Player of the Year candidate Macy Miller scored a career-tying and game-high 31 points to lead four Jackrabbits in double figures in scoring.

    Denver won its last two games at home. The Pioneers downed South Dakota, 104-99, Jan. 3 and North Dakota, 87-66, Jan. 5.

    Wednesday's game is the 15th meeting between the Jacks and DU. SDSU leads the series 13-1.


    • SDSU has a 486-121 (.800) record in home games. In Summit League home games, the Jacks are 83-8 (.912) and undefeated in six of 11 seasons.
    • The Jackrabbits are 257-87 (.747) all-time since joining The Summit League in 2007-08.
    • Denver leads The Summit League overall (84.5) and is second (91.0) in points per game while South Dakota State ranks second overall (77.8) and first (92.0) in the league. The Pioneers have scored 100-or-more points in a game three times this season.
    • Madison Guebert ranks ninth in the country in 3-pointers (50) and 13th in treys per game (3.1).
    • South Dakota State was ranked seventh in Graham Hays' Dec. 26 espnW mid-major poll.
    • Macy Miller has scored 20-or-more points seven times. She averages a team-leading 17.8 points.
    • Guebert is shooting 47.2 percent (17-36) from 3-point range in the last five outings.
    • In the last five games, Miller is averaging 19.4 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists while shooting 62.5 percent from the field, 35.7 percent from 3-point range and 78.6 percent from the free-throw line.
    • State has held seven opponents to 65-or-fewer points, including six to less than 61.
    • There have been at least three Jackrabbits scoring in double digits 14 times this season.
    • South Dakota State ranks among the top 30 nationally in four categories, including ninth in field-goal percentage (.482) and 12th in assists (276).
