    SDSU WBB: Lamb Bonanza Saturday

    It will be a doubleheader Saturday when the South Dakota State men's and women's basketball teams host Oral Roberts in the friendly confines of Frost Arena. The Jackrabbits women's team tips at 2 p.m. in the 27th-annual Lamb Bonanza.

    SDSU enters Saturday's game with an 11-6 overall record and 3-1 mark in The Summit League standings, while the Golden Eagles are 10-7 overall and also sport a 3-1 league record.

    In their first home game since Dec. 14, the Jackrabbits defeated Denver 76-59 Wednesday. Summit League Player of the Year candidate Macy Miller and Myah Selland each scored a game-high 18 points to lead three Jackrabbits in double figures in scoring.

    Oral Roberts won its second consecutive game with a 72-61 victory at Purdue Fort Wayne Wednesday.

    Saturday's game is the 23rd meeting between the Jacks and ORU. SDSU leads the series 16-6.

    Noteworthy

    • SDSU has a 487-121 (.800) record in home games. In Summit League home games, the Jacks are 84-8 (.913) and undefeated in six of 11 seasons.
    • The Jackrabbits are 258-87 (.747) all-time since joining The Summit League in 2007-08.
    • Madison Guebert ranks ninth in the country in 3-pointers (52) and 13th in treys per game (3.0).
    • South Dakota State was ranked sixth in Graham Hays' Jan. 9 espnW mid-major poll.
    • Macy Miller has scored 20-or-more points seven times. She averages a team-leading 17.8 points. The point guard ranks 11th in the NCAA in points (303) and 14th in field goals made (111).
    • Guebert is shooting 37.8 percent (14-37) from 3-point range in the last five outings.
    • In the last five games, Miller is averaging 20.4 points, 5.4 rebounds and 3.0 assists while shooting 64.9 percent from the field, 50.0 percent from 3-point range and 76.9 percent from the free-throw line.
    • State has held eight opponents to 65-or-fewer points, including six to less than 61.
    • There have been at least three Jackrabbits scoring in double digits 15 times this season.
    • South Dakota State ranks among the top 30 nationally in five categories, including ninth in field-goal percentage (.480) and ninth in assists (294).
