DWU adds Colton, S.D., native Taylor Will

MITCHELL, S.D. – The Dakota Wesleyan University women’s basketball team is excited to announce the signing of Colton, S.D., native Taylor Will of Tri-Valley High School.

Taylor joins the Tigers after averaging a double-double her senior season, accounting for 11.5 points and 10.2 rebounds per game. She was named to the Second Team Dak. XII Conference Team as a junior. Will was also part of the National Honor Society, honor roll, FBLA, FFA, FSCA and 4-H.

“Taylor is a great fit for us both academically and athletically,” Head Coach Jason Christensen said. “She will be a great addition to our Tiger family, while also providing an offensive weapon to our team.”

Will also played for the BBA Club basketball team for six years along with future Tiger Kadra Kayser and will compete in the South Dakota All-Star Game.

“I am excited to continue my basketball and academic career at DWU,” Will said. “I am excited to meet new people and play with Kadra and for Coach Christensen, while receiving a good education.”

The Tigers take on Milligan College in the NAIA DII Women’s National Tournament at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Tyson Event Center in Sioux City, Iowa.
